Dr. Khan is a pediatric specialist with more than 22 years of experience. He has an extensive background in clinical pediatric medicine, emergency pediatric care, and nephrology including general pediatric nephrology and critical care pediatric nephrology. He has taken a special interest in the treatment of childhood obesity and neonatal care. Dr. Khan is a Frontline Hero and a dedicated pediatrician who was recognized for his hard work during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. He also played an active role in the establishment of the Pediatric Emergency Department and the Pediatric ICU Department at Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He has received additional training in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and currently serves as a PALS instructor at SSMC. He is passionate about academia as he published many research papers and conducted studies on nephrology and pediatrics.
Dr. Khan received his MBBS degree from Rawalpindi Medical University in Pakistan and subsequently received a Diploma in Child Health. He later served as a resident of the Department of General Medicine and Department of General Surgery in Liaquat National Postgraduate Medical Hospital in Pakistan. After that, Dr. Khan’s professional journey took him to serve in prestigious medical colleges and university hospitals in Singapore, KSA, and then eventually, UAE.
