As a highly experienced nephrologist with over three decades of experience, Dr. Zahid provides compassionate, respectful and dedicated care. An expert in the management of chronic kidney disease, he offers specialized care aimed at mitigating discomfort and stabilizing renal function. The goal of his practice is to provide personalized treatment to his patients in order to maximize their quality of life.

In 1987, he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree from Rawalpindi Medical University in Pakistan. After completing his residency in internal medicine at the University of North Carolina, he completed fellowships in nephrology at the Albert Einstein Medical Center and rheumatology at Temple University in Philadelphia, USA. Prior to joining SSMC, he served as chief of nephrology at the Commonwealth Health Corporation in the USA, King Fahad Specialist Hospital in KSA and Mafraq Hospital in the UAE.

As a result of his extraordinary commitment to patients, Dr. Zahid received the SSMC Distinguished Clinician Award in 2022. He is licensed to practice by the UAE Department of Health (DoH), the State Medical Board of Ohio and the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure.
