An experienced physician and surgeon with 27 years of experience, Dr. Sood graduated from the University of London and underwent postgraduate training throughout the United Kingdom and Scotland, as well as further training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Prior to becoming a consultant at SSMC, Dr. Sood was a consultant in the UK for over seven years, specializing in facial deformities. He possesses special expertise in orthognathic surgery, cranio-maxillofacial trauma, complex dento-alveolar surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery in older children and adults. Dr. Sood has sought further experience in these areas in North America and several countries across Europe and India. Furthermore, he has worked collaboratively to establish joint clinics with orthodontists to deliver a high standard of care for patients requiring orthodontic and facial deformity surgery in Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates.
