Where is SSMC Located?

SSMC is located in Al Mafraq area in Abu Dhabi - Ghweifat International Highway - Next to Mafraq Hospital and Fatima College of Health Sciences. SSMC is strategically located to enable convenience to the main highway connecting the Western and Eastern Regions of the Emirates.

What are the working hours at SSMC?

The working hours for the SSMC Clinic Building are from 8:00am to 5:00pm Sunday to Wednesday and 8:30am to 5:00pm on Thursday. The Pharmacy is operational from 8:00am to 5:00pm Sunday to Thursday. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

What are the visiting hours at SSMC?

Visiting hours for general and critical care patients are from 11:00am to 1:00pm every day of the week. Visitors are prohibited for COVID-19 patients. Only one visitor is permitted for each patient and must wear a mask at all times. Visitors under the age of 12 will not be permitted.

What food options are available at SSMC?

SSMC has multiple cafeterias catering to a wide range of food options for every dietary need. Food and drinks from external vendors are not permitted and, vendors will not be allowed on-site.

What are the Medical Services (specialities) available at SSMC?

With close to 32 different areas of specialties, SSMC is committed to delivering a wide range of diagnostics which cater to the needs of our patients. Marking Phase 1, the Adult General Cardiology, Adult Neurology, ENT, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Ophthalmology departments will be the first to transition from Mafraq Hospital to treat patients at SSMC. The following phases of the opening will be gradual and expected by the end of 2019 and early 2020 respectively.

How can I book an appointment at SSMC?

As we begin operations and to ensure that we are able to provide all patients with a seamless experience, we will be accepting appointments for phase 1 departments from November 21st, 2019. Appointment booking will be made available through SEHA's Patient Portal, Mobile Application and the Toll-Free number 80050

Is there a 24/7 Emergency Services?

Emergency Service will be available on January 9th, 2020.

Does the hospital include a pharmacy?

There are two pharmacies at SSMC located on the ground floor operating from 08:00 am to 05:00 pm and on the first floor operating from 08:00 am to 10:00 pm.

What types of Insurance Plans are accepted at SSMC?

The following are the Insurance Plans accepted at SSMC: 1. Daman Thiqa 2. All Activity-Based Mandate Plans (ABM) 3. Oman Insurance - Premium Network OIC/Bupa 4. Dubai Insurance 5. ADNIC Platinum 6. Self Pay & GOP Sponsor 7. All Daman Basic and Daman Enhanced patients who visited Mafraq Hospital in the past 90 days and have active treatment plans will be rolled over to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) for the next three months (Until 3 March 2020).
